There is still time for you to DM me with your suggestions for Charity of the Year. Who should Gorilla Cycling Club be raising money for in 2025? Nominations close next Monday 27th, upon which the committee will vote for whom they believe the club should support this year.
OPENING WEEKEND
NEW WEBSITE/MEMBERSHIP SIGN UP
Thursday 30th January: The new website goes live, with new membership sign up (£25 until end December 2025) granting you access to ride sign up , members area, route book and lots of fantastic content designed by Neil Cocklin and Sean Miller ( and the team).
QUIZ
Friday 31st January : Gorilla Quiz 7pm at Kings Heath Cricket Club. Either sort yourselves out into teams, or we can put you into a team on the night no problem. I have set up a Gorilla Quiz group via our Whats App community - Please join that group if you're planning on coming to the quiz, as we will use it to see numbers, sort teams and ask questions. Do not join it if you're not coming!
All you need to know so far, is that there's 8 rounds, each team needs to bring a newspaper, and one of the rounds is called " Bike or Bullshit"
NEW CLUB RE-LAUNCH
Sunday 2nd February: We will have 8 led club rides from 12-18mph, going out to various places , for differing distances. All will return to the Hare and Hounds ( our new home on York Road) for a bit of a social, it would be great to see old and new members alike come out for this, indeed bring your friends along to either ride with us, or just hang out with us in the pub.
GORILLA ZWIFT
The invites have already been sent out on the Zwift companion app
For this weeks 3 laps of the Innsbruckring circuit, as usual starting at 6.30pm on Wednesday. The band is on to keep us all together, and I'm leading this week. See you there.. ( if i've missed you drop me a line, and i'll add you onto the guestlist).
THURSDAY RIDES
As we enjoyed riding our bikes outside so much last Thursday, we decided to do it again this week, as such the rides are now up at www.gorillacafe.co.uk/cycling , all leaving form our new home The Hare and Hounds on York Road in Kings Heath at 6.30pm.

18mph Pete Edwards 30 mile Packwood bash
19mph Graeme Winter Loop
Booking on is essential but free ( until the end of January when our new website will be up and running, and we'll be taking membership fees for the rest of the year).
