WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING IN THE MONKEY HOUSE?
GORILLA SPRING CLASSIC
Thanks to Stuart John Bulloch for organising ( with help from Neil Cocklin on the amazing , if lumpy, route). We had 13 (3ish) person teams out over the 2 days of the weekend ( including Carl Pearson who rode the course both days once solo and then slower with his team!) - enjoying glorious blue skies (and enduring the blustery winds) - a BIG THANKYOU to everyone who took part.
The timings - ridden and elapsed - have been submitted, and now it's down to Stu , and his team, to crunch the numbers and check the stats before revealing the winners later this week. So watch this space.
GORILLA KIT
A final reminder ,on here, that the window to buy club kit closes on Friday (4th April). So if you haven't already - and you are wanting to purchase a jersey (£50), a cap (£15), a buff (£15) or even a skinsuit (£130) - head over to the Club Kit section in the members area of the website to place your order.
GORILLA ZWIFT
Now that the evenings are lighter we have stopped our official club Zwift sessions on a Wednesday evening - last week was the last meet up this season : A 10 mile Crit race won by David Lee just, from Scott Hamblett. Great racing fellas, and some big new FTP's!
If you still want to meet up then please use the Zwift group in the community to arrange things. I'd also like to say a big thank you to Eugene Vichare for doing a lot of the leading over the Winter ( plus Alex Cull and David Morton ), and to everyone who came along and rode with us - i think there was 24 different riders over the 5 months we've been putting it on. Chapeau to you all.
QOMs and KOMS
The Strava crowns i saw this week were Sarah Damm with 2 QOMs and David Lee with a KOM . Good work guys.
